Tina McRorie, I am a descendant of Robert Hicks who arrived at Plymouth Colony on the ship "Fortune", on November 11, 1621, which was the first ship to arrive after the Mayflower. Robert, who was from Bermondsey Street in Southwark, New London, England, had been a fellmonger and a leather dresser in England. Robert was married to Margaret (Winslow) Hicks, who arrived in Plymouth Colony two years later (1623) on the ship "Anne" with their three children, son Samuel, age 11, and daughters Lydia and Phoebe. A fouth child, Ephraim, was born in Plymouth in 1624. Robert became a prominent citizen in the Plymouth community. He was one of the fifty-eight original Purchasers of Plymouth Colony. I do have more info....contact me at my e-mail address.....who knows...maybe we are related..?!
