Sorry to be so vague but it is all I have and I am grabbing at straws!

Has anyone with a Welsh family tree 'lost' a George EVANS b.c1812-1820 (he says in Liverpool) who was a son of a Hugh EVANS reputed to have been a farmer. George was my 2 x great grandfather and he surfaces in St. James, Westminster in 1851 census as a Tailor and I have virtually chapter and verse of his tree up to myself! He was married in 1844 to Maria nee Chantry. Family rumour has it that there was a farm somewhere in Wales and certainly my own grandfather used to visit family there. It is understood that the farm was eventually sold and bequests were made to at least some of George above children. I would so love to connect the English line to the Welsh line but so far all I have is the name Evans which was my mother's maiden name.

Your comments would be appreciated.
