It involves a second marriage.

Richard Whitcomb (batchelor, skinner) married Elizabeth Watkins (spinster) in Abergavenny on 3 Oct 1830.
They have children William; Mary Ann; Richard and Charles

Richard Whitcombe, of Monk Street, Abergavenny, dies of hepatitis and is buried on 18 Feb 1841, aged 37.

Richard SHAWE married Elizabeth WHITCOMBE in Abergavenny in 1848 Q3 (both spelling variations!)

In 1851 Richard and Elizabeth are living at the Nag's Head in Abergavenny with William; Mary Ann; Richard and Charles (Richard's step-children) plus Richard's father John and 11 year old brother (???) John.

Richard Shaw was baptised in Maer, Staffordshire on 28 Feb 1802 and his parents were John & Elizabeth.

There are a couple of people with Ancestry trees with this family in.
