Help desperately needed please.

I have a burial of Lewis Thomas at Merthyr Dyfan Cemetery, Barry on 16th October 1919 age 72yrs and believe Lewis is second husband of my Great Grandmother.Common Grave. Details fit in as he was living at 74 Queen Street, Barry on the 1901 Census.Thomas b. 1847 Penmark, Glamorgan.
Can anyone find him on 1911 Census please as I cannot. My main interest is to find death of his wife Margaret b, 1835 Gileston. Not finding either on 1911 Census I assumed they had both died before Census and have purchased four wrong D/Certs for Margaret and one for Lewis.
From my source, Margaret does not appear to have been buried at Merthyr Dyfan Cemetery. If indeed this Lewis Thomas died 1919 is her husband and can be found on 1911 Census it may give a clue as to where he was living.
I cannot quite understand why Lewis was buried in a common grave when he had several children and believe his son also named Lewis and wife Phoebe are also buried in Merthyr Dyfan Cemetery. But where is Margaret and when did she die but 1911 Census might hold clue as to where Lewis was living.
Thank you for reading my plea for help as this has been a long standing brick wall and getting quite expensive and anxious to get closure. Syljun
