I would really appreciate the advice of someone living local to the area mentioned above. My gt gt nain and taid lived in the 1850s to 1870s at least at Tyn y Fron Maengwynedd - more or less in the same area as Tyn y Frydd.
Margaret nee Humphries of Nant, Henfache married Edward Evans of Llan Y M in 1851. They lived in the 1850s 60s and 70s at Tyn y Fron. Their youngest daughter Mary died aged 3 in 1870. On the 1871 census Edward is a widower. They were chapel people. Married at Tabernacle Llanfyllin and later Edward was an indentured member of Tabernacle Llan Y M.
Where would they be buried. Margaret died between 1867 and 71. Edward lives till 1904 he is on census in 1881 and 1901 with my gt nain Anne Evans and her husband John Evans. Edward was living at Frwynen, Llangedwyn/Llansilin area when he died. I can not find their burial place.
Are there any chapel cemetries near to Tyn y Fron??
I notice that Llanarmon Mynydd Mawr church St Garmon has a cemetry but their burials are not in the bt for St Garmon where I have looked.
Are there any chapel cemetries still in use there. When did
the Llan Y M public cemetry open??
I would be so grateful for any assistance from someone with
local knowledge please
Thanks
Menai
