Bush Lodge still exists, but the old driveway upto Bush House, does not and only leads to a field. I can obtain photo if req’d.
From my index of Baptism at Pembroke St Mary 1822 – 1847 I find
27 Mar 1840 George son of John & Phoebe James a Sawyer of the Lodge baptised by J. Dalton.
(Note Rev J. Dalton is James Dalton later vicar of Crunwear)
From my Baptism index I note James & Martha Williams resided at the Lodge in 1829 and William & Margaret Vaughan resided there in 1835. There is no baptism at St Mary for the period 1835 – 1840 for any children from the Lodge.
From my index of St Mary Baptism 1847 – 1895 there is no reference to John & Phoebe James.
From my index of Baptism / Mrge & Burial for Pembroke St Michael 1711 – 1950, I can find no reference with appears to currently fit your requirements and related to John James.
The 1841 census shows 3 families occuping the Lodge which includes
John James 30 Sawyer Yes
Feby James 30 – Yes
Henry James 03 – Yes
George James 01 – Yes
Jane Welsh 12 Servant Yes
(Note : The baptism of Henry James is not listed at Pembroke St Mary)
Given that Henry was born circa 1837/38, the only mrge I can come up with is the following
28th Jan 1834 John James to Phoebe Harries at Letterston Pembs.
As the LDS website lists Henry James son John & Phoebe James baptised 14 Jan 1838 at Rhos Crowther I suspect further baptism’s might also be found there. Also for future reference I note again from the LDS website, baptism of a John James 31 Mar 1811 to James Rees & Elizabeth at Rhos Crowther.
From my index of all names, places and relationships in all wills proven for Rhos Crowther 1600 – 1858, at the E.C.C. of St David’s I note only one reference to the surname James and that is Geo: James who was a wittness to the will of Thomas Dawkins written on the 02 June 1798 at Rhos Crowther and probated the same year.
Whilst there are a great many “John James” listed in my index of Freeman & Burgess of Pembroke Borough 1674 – 2006, there are none which appear to x/ref Rhoscrowther – Joiner/Sawyer – or Pembroke.
I have no relationship to any families surnames shown above, but trust this is of some assistance to your research.
If I can help further do not hesitate to let me know.
