hello Owen and Tina,
Owen - thank you for your latest info on name Beynon and correction re Mary date....
Just another snippet to add to the jigsaw...
In trying to establish what may have happened to James Davies (circa 1762) - husband of Priscilla (who was buried 21.11.1825 at St Twynnells)
I decided to search census records for 1851 and 1841
1851 Census shows a James Davies living alone at P Winsor, Bosherton age 85
1841 Census shows a James Davies living P Winsor, Bosherton age 75
also in the household are...
Frances Stephens 50
Jane Stephens 15
Priscilla Stephens 10
Richard Stephens 8
there is also....
Thomas Allen 30
Ester Jones 20
William Paget 70
Margaret Paget 50
Mary Paget 20
I Then discover that Frances is the daughter of James and Priscilla Davies
Baptised at Pembroke St Michael on 17.4.1791
I haven't been able to trace the marriage of Frances Davies to James Stephens which would have been circa 1824/5
but the baptisms of their children are as follows...
Jane Stephens 16.4.1826 at St Petrox to Parents James and Frances Stephens
Priscilla Stephens 22.2.1829 at St Twynnells to parents James and Frances
Richard7.10.1832 at St Twynnells to parents James and Frances
in 1843 Frances Stephens - (nee Davies) widow -re-marries
at the Parish church Bosherton on 15.1.1843 a Thomas John servant of St Twynnells
her father being James Davies and his Benjamin John
Witnesses to this marriage were George Davies and James Davies
Little by little....
