I am a Caseres on my mother's side. It seems to be a fairly rare last name. I gather, from asking her endless questions about our genealogy, that it was her great-grandmother's last name. Her family was/is from rural Las Villas around Sagua la Grande/Santa Clara. If you (or anyone else out there) has any other info on this family or the Gonzalez Diaz Diaz family in Camaguey, please drop me a line.
