There is a book at the special collections section of the Tampa Public Library dedicated to the O'farrill family of
Cuba. It is a hard bound book and it tells of the O'farrill

Sofia:

My great grandfather was born in Spain in1865 and apparently traveled to Cuba at a young age. He then left Cuba sometime in 1891 and immigrated to Key West, Florida. His wife's last name was Gallego. I have been trying to locate anyone related to him since 1975 with no luck. Are you from Spain, Cuba or the U.S?

Felix

I am a Puerto Rican O'Farrell. My family is from Puerto Rico and our last name is O'Farrell. My grandfather is Francisco O'Farrell II. We have family in Loiza, Fajardo, Isabelle and other places. I don't know if we came through Cuba. I don't think so. Please e-mail me. My spanish isn't that great so, I prefer to speak in english but, I can read it if I have to.

There is this family album in the Tampa Public Library, Special Collection Section of an O'Farrill family. I cannot remember the exact details nor the contents of the album but I think they were from Cuba. There were many Cuban families that came to Tampa and Key West after the Spanish-American War, you may check the website for the Tampa Public Library. Good luck in your search.
