Relatives of Dr. Francis 'Frank' Saunders

I am trying to track the wife and children of Dr. Saunders. I have an old, very long, undated Gleaner clipping of the marriage of his daughter Isabelle with one of her attendants her sister Irene.
No dates or ages and her mother is listed as Mrs. Saunders.

Frank died February 8, 1940 age 87. I know a lot about his brother Arthur, but Frank remains a mystery.

Looking for details regarding death of ARCHIBALD SHEDDEN LIGHTBORN. He was born in Bermuda 12 Sept 1803 and died at CLIFTON ESTATE, PORT MORANT, ST. THOMAS EAST JAMAICA on 10 May 1840.

He was married to my gggrandmother, SUSANNAH BONNELL WHITE of Warwick, Bermuda, on 25 Oct 1838. Were there any children of this marriage? "Archie" and Susannah were married only 19 months. Also looking for any details of her return to Bermuda from Jamaica after Archie's death.

I am trying to locate the death record of John Corcoran (my 3rd grt grandfather) who left England 12 Mar 1827 for Jamaica. He died somewhere in Jamaica where I have no idea!!! He was born abt 1791 in Ireland he worked for the Hudson Bay Company Fur Trading Company in Canada from 1818 to 1826. He retired from the HBC 10 Sept 1826. He left Canada for England on the ship Camden. He died around August 1827 in Jamaica. He was Catholic.

Any idea on he3 death would be really appreciated.

I am looking for any info about Aaron Jackson who married Jeannette or Janet Shirley. They had a daughter named Iris who had a son named Rainford Jackson in 1934. Rainford was my father. Iris never named my father's father but married Mr. Palmer, father to my aunts and uncles. I understand the Shirleys may have come from Ireland and would like to trace the Jackson side. My mother (Joan Gaynor) passed away back in 1987 when I was about 8, which was the last time I saw anyone from her side of the family. I'm looking for any information or descendants of my great-great grandmother Catherine Jane Stanford of Kingston Jamaica, b. around 1850. She married Amos Levy and had one child, Arthur Clarence Levy, b. 1871. She then divorced Levy and married my great-great grandfather, Abraham Alexander Lindo and had at least five more children, Wilfred Newall, Brenda Florence, Bertram Alexander, Cecil S., and Ivan Lindo. The five Lindo's moved to Canada and New York in the early 1900's, while the children of Arthur Clarence Levy (Eugene, Edna Doreen, Ruby May, Olga Ione, and Sutcliffe Osmond) all moved to New York in the 1920's. I've already contacted Don Lindo in Jamaica and he doesn't have any more information on her, so if you do, then it'd be great if you could pass it along! Thanks!

My Great grandmother,Ivy Maude Bent, was born(1893) to Alice Augusta Levy and William Zacharia Bent. Alice Augusta Levy's parents were Benjamin Levy, European Jewish fisherman, and a woman name Cornelia. I can only speculate that Cornelia was a native Jamaican b/c I don't have her last name. I don't have any information on the parents of William Bent.

What my grandmother has told me is that she believes that Ivy Maude grew up in a house on Orange St in Montego Bay Jamaica.

I am looking for any information on any of the above named persons or a place that may help.

My great-grand father was James Belnavis and my grand father was Cecil Belnavis he had a twin named Edgar and a sister named Barbagee (not sure of spelling). There were cousins that were Richard 'Dick' Belnavis and William 'Willy' Belnavis. My grandmother was Edna May Palmer-Belnavis.

Looking for the ancestors of Arthur George Peart believed to be from Chudleigh Manchester who died in Kingston on May 8, 1959. He was a shoemaker by trader and had a shop on Holmstead Road in Kingston. He was my grandfather and he had 3 daughters, Hermine, Zoe and don't know the name of the other. Looking for information on the McKay or MacKay family in Jamaica. I know there were several different persons by that name but I am interested in McKays who settled in the parishes of St. Ann and St. Mary and possibly St. Catherine in the late 1800's. I have read of Loyalist who were granted land in St Elizabeth in the late 1700's after the American Revolution. I am interested if anyone has traced the migration of the McKays throughout the island and might have information about them. I am not sure if I can make a connection to my family but I truly don't know what part of the island my family was from originally. Any information will be appreciated.

My fathers name is Gerald Anderson, born in Johns Hall, Portland Jamaica WI. My dads father was Cyril Anderson who married my dads mum (Alvira Lee) who came from St Thomas, Portland Jamaica.

My great grandfather on my dads side was called Manny Anderson and he was married to Martha Somers from Johns Hall.

Cyril Anderson was born roughly around 1903 died 1985 and rough guess for grt grandfather Manny about 1880.

Does anyone have information on Joseph/Josiah Simpson, born around 1886 in Jamaica? He emigrated to the U.S. in 1905 and worked as coachman and later chauffeur for a family in Shamokin, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. I have heard he died November 10, 1961 but I didn't find anything in area newspapers for that date. I believe he married a Bessie Savoy. Any further info is appreciated.

Edward emigrated to Australia in 1855 and married Mary Dight. I have an extensive tree of the Harrison family since then.

Nathan McCalla was born in Bellas Gate, St. Catherine, Jamaica about 1850. He was said to be the son of the McCalla from Scotland who owned the Bellas Gate plantation. Nathan had at least 15 children with his wife Annie Bordeaux. Some of the children's names were Isaac, Izette, Lucy, Jacob and Reuben (1886-1980). He also had sons by other women. One of those sons was Walter McCalla who became a barrister. Another son was Eric Levine. Both Nathan McCalla and Annie Bordeaux died in the 1907 Kingston Jamaica earthquake. Their son Reuben McCalla left Jamaica in 1913 after his wife had died and moved to the US where he became a dentist and lived in Bridgeport Connecticut. Reuben's two young daughters Hazel and Ruby stayed in Jamaica with their uncle I. McCalla until 1921 when they joined their father and his second wife Esther Conway.

He later married Dorothy Witter Elliott. It appears he owned a sizable amount of land in Rockland/Bull Savanna which he left to his children. Where did he get the land and who were his parents?
