I just saw your note and thought I'd write back. Your Grandfather Frank and my mother are first cousins. I'm actually a friend of his on Facebook. You can find me under Quichi Detres. Frank is in touch with the rest of the family in Mayaguez. His father and my grandfather were both sons of Eugenio Pizzini, from Corsica.Their mother was Segunda Vigo, the daughter of former slaves from a plantation in Algarrobo, Mayaguez. I don't know much more than that other than the fact that Eugenio had a brother named Miguelito and a wealthy uncle who made his fortune in trading. His name was Fransico Pizzini y Fantauzzi. Many Corsicans came to the Island in the 19th century. They were of Genoese origin but were French speaking and were considered French Nationals. Napoleon Bonaparte was from Corsica. I hope this helped some.
