This may be a lead: in the book "Catalogo de Extranjeros" by Estela Cifre de Loubriel, there is a "Jaime O'Neill" listed, originally from Ireland, who came under the Cedula de Gracia, who obtained residency in July 1816. No other info.I would try to get the Mormon film for birth records for where Manuel was born (San Juan?), for that timeftrame 1909?. If you can get that film, Manuel's paternal & maternal grandparents should be listed. That way you would have the names of Ramon's parents. It's a gamble because babies weren't always registered as soon as they were born, sometimes it happened years later. Also, one of his siblings might be on the film, if Manuel is not. Let me know if you need anything else. If you find out the town Ramon was from, I'll see what I can dig up as far as his parents go.
