This may be a long shot, but I am hoping to track down more information on the origins of an ancestor who fought in the Revolutionary War.
Lt. Robert Martin is listed on the Pennsylvania 1st Regiment's muster rolls as being "of St. Coyx (Croix)". He is the only soldier in the entire Revolution with this listing, and it has continued to be a mystery.
Perhaps someone watching this board could point me to a reference of soldiers from St. Croix, or any other St. Croix connection to the Revolution not associated with Alexander Hamilton?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
