Surnames: CODWISE, RODGERS
James CODWISE married Rebecca RODGERS on 25 November 1797 in NY. James and Rebecca owned and managed Mt. Victory Sugar Plantation on St. Croix. On 1815 St. Croix census, their children were listed as Caroline-9, Camelia-7 and David-1-1/4. I am trying to verify that they had at least one other child named James R. Codwise (R for Rodgers?) who was born in 1800 on St. Croix.

Rebecca's father's name was John. His nephews were Richard, Manning and William; niece was Elizabeth Rodgers Gumbes. William and Manning Rodgers lived on Anguilla.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Carolyn
