Denmark was not in a position to resist either Napoleons expansionist France or Britain. When France went into Denmark the British went into the DWI. The number of British ethnics in the DWI was greater than the number of
Danes. Christopher McEvoy of Whim Greathouse was a Danish King's counsellor his nephew pledged allegiance to the British when they invaded.
