Dear Elizabeth,
Here is what I have on his son, Henry. Stayed 18 years in NC received education after disappearance of his father Benjamin at sea. 1805 called to St. Croix to help manage the Coakley enterprises. In 1810 became ill on St. John and nursed back to health by Eliza Woods, Eldest daughter of Dr. Woods. Bought First plantation "The Creek" and then the second" Haulover" In 1839 he reported having a very good crop but a hurricane ruined all. He died 1840. His children were then left to make it on their own and migrated to NY. They were Letitia, George Washington, Mary Rebecca, Eliza Juliana. The last was born 1819. I have that their mother,Eliza Woods died 1819. I am looking fopr corraboration of this info. and Benjamin's origins. the same source says the family had been shipping the Caribbean for generations. No Leads.
