Marion are these Winklers part of my gg-grandfather's line? Are they connected in anyway? Anton and Veronica came to Texas in the 1873 to High Hill, Texas in Fayette County from Austria. I don't know anything about my gg-grandfather's people before him.....My great grandfather's name was Joseph Fredrick Winkler born March 6, 1870 in Silesia. He married Mary Agatha Schenk, in Schulenburg, Texas. Let me know. I do have other information on Winkler's....the Winkler name was evidently a very common one in Germany and Austria.
