I would be surprised if our ancestors DIDN'T know each other. Even if my Jaudling research is a dead end. The fact that they all came from lower austria and settled in Dane county WI, they must have known one another. Barbara Kohler who was married to John Boehm and to them there were 5 children born. Then, and I don't know when because I have no death records, John Boehm died sometime between 1860 and 1863. Barbara remarried Michael Berger in Austria and had 2 more children, one which died on the ship over in 1868. I have Barbara, Michael and all the children living in Durand, Pepin, WI in 1868, also Fairmont, Dane, WI in 1868. Then they lived in Vermont, Dane, WI for about 15 years before I find them moving to Morrison county, MN.
