I am looking for information on my great-grandfather Peter Platzer. He was born Feb 2, 1876 in Tirol, Austria. I believe he came to this country with his mother Mary (Marie/Maria) and his stepfather Anton Wallnofer also of Tirol, Austria. I am trying to find out where in Tirol Peter may have been born and what happened to his birth father. I was told his birth father was killed by a bull on a farm. I heard that his name was Peter as well but cannot confirm this. I'm trying to find the town/village in Tirol where the family originated. Every single source (census, etc.) I've found simply lists Tyrol, which is little help. I'd appreciate any help.
