Yes, this is the hotel. My great uncle Kessler told me it belonged to his family, they sold it when they emigrated. His parents were first cousins, so both his father and mother were Kesslers. One of the mother's last name's was Messer, I'm not sure about the other mother's maiden name.
The family emigrated mid 1880s to turn of the century. Since I'm not sure which side of the Kessler family owned the hotel. Some of the Kesslers were tailors. I'm wondering if there was a reason that Jews would have left Vienna in the 1880s-1890s - either eastward, towards Galicia (modern-day Ukraine) or to the US. That might help me pinpoint a timeframe.
