"My Grandfather's name was Joseph Ebert and he had a sister named Mary who married a man named Steinkelner. My Grandfather's family lived in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area."

Did your Joseph Ebert die in 1915? If so, there were family death notices published in Milwaukee's morning and evening German language newspapers.

There are about 250 Ebert entries and 25 Steinkellner / Steinköllner entries in the growing collection: "Milwaukee's German Newspapers; an index of death notices and related items", covering 1844-1950.
