Hello, this is one of the letters I found in my grandmother's house after she died this year. I am hoping it will lead to some clues about her great-grandfather John (Johan) Benesch.

All I know, he was born in Austria May 4, 1853. Immigrated at 15 years to Wisconsin/Minnesota. His death certificate says his father's name was Franz Benesch, and mother was Anna. I know he had a brother named Franz who was in the military in Austria. Possible other names are Albert Benesch who was Mayor of Dittersbach, and Rose Benesch.

I hope this document will help clarify some names. Hope someone can scan it over and see what they can find. Not looking for literal translation of whole thing.
