John and Mary Jurison

Classification: Query
Surnames: Jurison
My g.g.g.grandparents John and Mary Jurison came over to America in 1883. The 1910 census says they came from "Austria Slovak". They settled outside of Pittsburg, PA. There is a record for a John Jurison naturalization from Austria. Some modernized sources say they came from Czechoslovakia, but I find that weird because that was not established until the 1910's. If anyone knows what "Austria Slovak" means, or anything relating to the Jurisons from Austria (or Slovakia, as the case may be), please help me! Thanks so much and God bless!
