Jalovec mountain was in Austria at one time, but now it is technically in Slovenia. My great grandfather is from there. Here is some more info.
Jalovec (Gialuz in Italian) is a mountain in the Julian Alps. With 2,645 meters of altitude it is the seventh highest peak in Slovenia. It lies in between the Alpine valleys of Tamar, Loška Koritnica and Trenta. Its neighbours are Mangart to the west, Travnik and Mojstrovka to the east, and Ponce to the north.
