My great grandmother was Eugenie Engelhart (b. 1865), who grew up in Görz/Gorizia (Italy). Her family can be traced back to the late 1700 through the male line (William, Georg, Carl -> Eugenie. Eugenie herself was born in Trieste and married Hermann Wechsler (b. 1866) in 1894. They had three children: Bruno, Otto and Gisela who were all born in Alexandria Egypt. Eugenie had a sister, Anna who was born in 1877. The last news from her, was that she headed for Venice (or Trieste) in 1907. After that there is no trace of her or the rest of the family. Carl died 1898 and his wife Anna died in Gorizia in 1913. I would love to know if Carl had any siblings and if yes, what happened to them after 1917. They were of Austrian origin, so they may have returned to Austria then.
