Thank you so much for the translation.
I am trying to find the birth record for my great-grandmother. She traveled to the US in 1893 (I believe) and settled in Ohio. She married my ggfather in 1894. All US records and ship/Ellis Island records show her as Sofie/Sophie/Sophia Mayer. The US census records list her as being born in Bohemia.
I have been looking mainly in Western, Northern, and Southern Czech Republic area, but as yet, have not found a Sofie Mayer.
Zofie Bayerla could be her if there was some reason she used her mother's maiden name. It looks like Zofie may have married and had a child in 1890 (see this record, http://actapublica.eu/matriky/plzen/prohlizec/3869/?strana=4...), but since I can not read these records I just can not put the story together.
Any help anyone can provide would be appreciated!
