Here's the process I use to save an image off Ancestry. I am using a windows computer, but I don't think I've had much trouble when I use my airbook.
I have the manifest on the screen. At the upper right is an orange SAVE button. Click it and select "Save to My Computer". I can then click on the Save drop down and select Save As. To retain my sanity temporarily, I click on Desktop, and just save it.
Next, I get back into Ancestry, start my message/reply, and Choose file under Attachments (right above the orange Post button). Personally, I click on the option that shows "Details" and then I sort it by date, so the one I just saved is at the top of the pile. Then select it to attach it and post.
Since I've done it here, you won't have to. Now everyone can see the manifest. I've looked, and looked, and I don't see the "DO" on his line, which is line 8. Have you gone to the next page and looked at the additional info that is available for him, also on line 8? I cannot save that page, but this "link" to it might work.http://interactive.ancestry.com/7488/NYT715_2961-0004/402537...
Yikes. That's long. I'm also attaching a screen snip of the first 8 lines of the second page. Not the best quality, but again, I cannot find "DO" anywhere.
