Classification: Query
Surnames: Suchma
If you're interested in the history of Val. Klobouky, I'll send you photo copies of what I gleaned from books while we were in SLC, UT some years ago. Unfortunately it's in Czech with many abreviated words. The year 1241 is mentioned, but I haven't tried to translate any of the village info. I trace to about a dozen villages and twenty surnames all in the immediate area. The V.K. church records go back to the late 1700's. Are you aware of the CZ and other maps online?
Are you also aware that there are two Suchma's, both engineers, living in Val. K? Just a few km to the south are two more Suchma's in Brumov-Bylnice. Incidently, my dad was born in nearby Brumov on this date, 16 June 1909. Our fax is built into the computer, but there's probably a way for us to scan info and e-mail it. If not, then I can snail-mail if you like.
