My ancestors Johann Hurt age 41 and his wife Maria (nee Mrkvicka) age 39 imigrated from the Kutna Hora area of Bohemia to the US aboard the ship Wesser landing in New York on March 14, 1876. With them were children Anna, Maria, Johann, Barbara, Franc and Antonia. Arriving before them was their eldest son, Josef/Joseph about 1873. Joseph married Anna Wolman in Howard County, NE about 1877. I wonder if the 14 yr old Anna who came with Johann and Maria Hurt in 1876 was actually Anna Wolman. As far as I can tell, her family did not come to America. In 1880 Joseph and Anna with two children Anna age 1 and Joseph age either 4/12 or 6/12 are living with Charles Walenty. I don't know the relationship of Charles to them. Both John and Joseph migrated to Oklahoma settling in Woods Co., OT. After state hood this area became part of Major County. Some of the family stayed in NE. My great aunt, Annabelle Louthan was born in Omaha, NE in 1909. Her mother, Emma Jennie Hurt Louthan, went from Oklahoma to a sister's home in Omaha, NE to give birth as this was her first baby. Anna Wolman Hurt was struck by lightening inside her home and killed in 1902. can anyone help with more information on this Hurt family? They were supposedly French Bohemian. I know the Mrkvicka family was from a different village and were not French. Some of this Hurt line married into the Holub, Bukowski, and Kechel lines. Thank you.
