When arrived Aloisie (=Louise) in 1888 on S.S. Marsala to NY, the youngest John was 0years and 1 month old (according to a passengers list). Was Martin in Europe meantime or who is father when Martin Weinfurt is already in the U.S.?
ISTG ( http://immigrantships.net/v10/1800v10/marsala18881206_01.htm...
)on 6 December 1888 in N.Y:
96 Aloise, Weinfurt, 33, f, woman, Austria, New York, Klattau
97* Bedrisch, Weinfurt, 7, m, child, Austria, New York, Klattau
98 Ottokar, Weinfurt, 6, m, child, Austria, New York, Klattau
99 Alois, Weinfurt, 5, m, child, Austria, New York, Klattau
100 Rozena, Weinfurt, 3, m, child, Austria, New York, Klattau
101 Jan, Weinfurt, 0y 1m, m, baby, Austria, New York, Klattau
But according to the parish register, was born Jan in Klatovy – City, house Nr.10 on 6.1.1886? There should be two years old? See birth register Klatovy-63, folio 302, on-line page 306. That would explain only the existence of two Johns.
They acted as a family, I think he is the father. But I do not know how it was. On ancestry.com there are several applications for a passport in the name of Martin Weinfurt ... Have you tried the Baltimore harbor, too?
