I am descended from a Christian W Schroeder, son of John Ludwig Schroeder.

I know John had three wives. The first wife I do not have a name for, but with the first wife John had two daughters. Via a grand-daughter, John Ludwig became an ancestor to the Meyer family of Postville, Iowa.

The second wife was Wilhelmina Wernhardt. She died in Germany, but she is the mother of Christian W. Schroeder as well as other prominent Schroeder family members of Postville, Iowa.

The third wife was Wilhemina Klocke.

John Ludwig and his wife Wilhelmina came to America on July 4, 1892. Christian W. Schroeder had come to America on September 19, 1885. Christian W. Schroeder was born on April 20, 1871.
