My great grandfather, John Stolzenburg and his wife, Caroline Stolzenburg nee Gotha, set sail for the USA in 1887. They were both born in Strausburg Germany, known as the Alsace Lorraine territory. They had with them 5 children, William (my grandfather), Ida, Amelia, Bertha, and another child who died at sea. Twin girls, Martha and Anna, were born during the voyage. They settled in Lincoln, Illinois.
I am interested in finding info on their family origins in Germany and wondering if we have family there now. Also, I believe other cousins may have come to the US. John's sister, Minnie, and brothers Henry and William also immigrated to the USA. Please contact me with any helpful information. Thanks very much.
