Xaver MERKEL, b.19-May-1811 in Großweier.

The couple emigrated 1854 "nach Amerika"
Xaver died 05-Apr-1882 in Cresco, Howard Co., Iowa and was buried in the Eddy Cemetery there.
Theresia died 27-Dec-1854 (don't know where).

They emigrated 1854 together with 7 children.
The 2nd child was
Adelheid Merkel, b.19-Dec-1837 in Großweier, d.30-Mar-1905 in Cresco, buried in the Eddy Cemetery.

Adelheid's (or: Adaline's) husband was David Easler, b.Mar-1832 in Germany

married NN Miller. She died 19-Apr-1909 in Postville, Iowa abt 35 miles SE of Cresco.
