Anna Dehner or Deahner was born May 3, 1832 in a small town near Sigmaringen, Germany. The town (Laiz ?) was at the base of the hill near Hohenzollern Castle. It is said that she would climb the hill and play with the Kaiser. She emmigrated to US in 1851 at approx. 19 years old. She married in St. Louis, MO. in 1857 to a Thomas Knidischek.
