I have 2 known Solomon CARRs. One from HAMPSHIRE/HARDY VA born around 1775? (last of the kids) He was the son of GERIG HEINRICH KARR aka Henry CARR, of same area. Sol was also the brother of Martin Luther CARR b. 1772, HAMPSHIRE CO. VA.
Both went to Ohio around 1803. Not sure if they went together, but Martin was 1st in Concord township, ROSS CO, until around 1810, when he was in MADISON TOWNSHIP & WAYNE township in FAYETTE CO. OH. Martin Luther also had a son named Solomon.
Some of the Carrs lived in Deer Creek Township, PICKAWAY CO. OH, and SOLOMON CARR #1 lived in Ostich? DELEWARE CO. OH. I believe his wife was a BEAN, possibly Priscilla. They are actually mention in a book, telling of their burial place, and I almost want to say he was a preacher. Baptist?

The other Solomon, # 2, son of Martin, was born sometime after 1792, when his parents were married. He, too, lived in ROSS & FAYETTE CO. Solomon's mother, Elizabeth, died around 1826 in Fayette OH, and around 1830's, Martin took whatever kids who wanted to come with him to ELKHART/KOSCIUSCO CO. IN. I have often wondered he Martin also lived in Greene Co IN.
Solomon, who may have been married twice, ended up in
Chalmers, WHITE CO. IN.

Do either of these sound possible. If not, there were more SOLOMONS-MARTINS-JACOBS-etc in the family line, as tradition had passed on the same names over and over oand over and........
