I have a few old photos from 1939-1941 in Berlin. I am trying to identify exactly where they were taken, and if the places still exist.
My italian family lived on Weinbergstrasse during those years, and had 2 children baptized in Roman Catholic churches - I was told St. Anthony and St Josef churches.
The church photo shows a partial view of a large smooth stoned building with carved pillars flanking the doors.
There is another photo that looks like it was taken in a park along the river, but with a big bell/clock tower(?) next to a wide gravel path. The home photos are all in a tiled courtyard setting. Anyone have knowledge of the city in that era and would be willing to take a glance at them to see if anything is recognizable?
