I am looking for information on Charles Lickfelt b. 1842, who I believe emigrated from Germany between 1855-1869. He ended up in northern Ohio.

I am also having trouble finding any directory references in Germany to the name "Lickfelt." Does anyone on the list know of any other spellings for the name or its origin? Someone my mother knew once said she thought perhaps it refered to the area near Augsburg associated with a plain near the river Loecht.
