I'm writing from Holland, but my father is from Zwickau,Germany. The fathers before were born in Halle, Wedringen and Blätz (Magdeburg).
I don't agree the name Naucke/Nauke is slavic. Both names Naucke and Nauke already existed in Berlin before 1500. Maybe the meaning of the name is "new people". There must be different Naucke/Nauke families.
Nauke als also a name for a dog. In Berlin Nauke is another word for "silly fool". In the German navy "a Nauke" is a newcomer and the lowest in rank.
