Hi there looking for some information on my great great great grandfather who was called Paul Joseph Roder born in 1830 in Prussia Germany. We think he was born to older parents and he was possibly the eldest child we arent sure. His mother was called Catharina Strauch possibly born in 1806 or around that year and his father was called Peter Roder born possibly around 1797 we think but again not sure of exact dates. We think his mother Catharina was born in RHEINELAND of Germany when we bought Paul Joseph Roders birth cert it stated some other names that are relations of some kind. there was a Pauley Strauch which could be her brother or father but is more likely to be her father as judging by the age given he was born in 1787.

Paul J Roders father Peter Roder was born in Germany imgenbroich Germany and it stated he was a farmer of some kind. On paul J Roders birth cert was also a name which could be a brother of peter roder as he was born in 1793 possibly judging by the age given on the birth cert and his name was Arnold Yohn Roder or could be John not Yohn.

Paul J roder did move to England in the 1850s and got married twice and had 10 children. He opened up shops and owned alot of these around London. He died in 1901 at his home. i will attach a picture of Paul J Roder of him as an older man. I know all about his English side and his own family and children i just cant trace any of his German connections i have come to a stand still any help on his parents or any siblings if any would be great :)
