and received what I would imagine to be unusual
authorization to vacation in America (above note)
"The holder of pass receives permission to vacation for 1 year to America, namely from 13 September 1800 and eighty two with dispensation (excused absence) from the control gathering under the condition that he returns in the case of mobilization. In this case, he is to report
here or to the closest available regional command.
The individual remains here under control and may
request an extension of the vacation if done timely
of the regional sergeant in Coburg.
Other notes from elsewhere in the pass:
He was released to the reserves in 1872 after fulfilling
his service. He had been promoted to Gefreiter on October 1, 1871. He was transferred to the home guard (Landwehr)
on 1 Oct 1876 with Batallion Burg and released from the same on November 18, 1882. He did some training in the summer of 1880.
