Hi,
Have you got any further in tracing your ancestor.
I think I may have the same family as you but mine is spelt Aldebert.
I have an Isaac Aldebert born circa 1760 in Erlangen, Bavaria Germany.
After researching it appears that most of the Huguenots fled to Erlangen. And of course Aldebert is a French surname.
My Aldebert's went to London England and were involved with some very influential business men of that time from Germany.
I would like to research the line further so if you have found anything since you last posted, I would be really interested.
Many thanks
