Jennifer: I am a step-sister of Kenneth and Kevin from Jacksonville, NC. Your grandfather, Elmer William Kesselberg was in the Marine Corps and stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC where he met my mother. Daddy passed away on April 7, 2000 from lung cancer due to Agent Orange exposure in Vietnam. He did two tours in Vietnam while AO was being sprayed. He also served in the Korean War. His retirement rank was Gunnery Sargeant. He is buried in Morehead City, NC. He was born Dec. 19, 1926 in Waukon County, IA. His father was Harold A. and his mother was Nellie Thomas. He was actually raised by his grandparents, but never revealed why, other than his father left the family. He never saw him again and only saw his mother once in his adult life after joining the service. He called his grandparents Ma and Pa. Daddy was a fine man and soldier.
