Hellwig Georg married Anna Catharina Hemel in New York City in 1868. He was born ca. 1824 in Allendorf, s/o Andreas Georg and Anna Catharina Weis. The bride was born ca. 1836 in Todenhausen (sp?) d/o Eckhart Hemel and Anna Elisa. Freind.

As the marriage was at the NYC Moravian Mission I assume they were Protestants. Are there existing church records in this area of Hesse? Where should I look?
