Looking for information on Frederick E Ehlert (born abt 1843) and Fredricke S? Ehlert (born abt 1845). They both list their birthplace as Mecklenburg Schwerin. They settled in Chicago, IL and had abt. 12 children. My husband is a descendant of William E. Ehlert born 8/18/1881 in Chicago.

I do not know when they left for US or if they were married prior to immigrating. I do know they had 8 children by 1881 so they must have been married at least by 1874.
