I am looking for the proverbial needle in a haystack. The
only info I have is - John Smidt born Rostock Mecklenburg Schwerin circa 1832. He was married in June 1856 in Victoria Australia, but I cannot find any record of his arrival, so can't find his ship or port or date of departure.
His first 6 children in birth order were named; Elizabeth, John Joseph, Mary, Annie Theresa, Peter Paul, William. This may help if he named them after family members.
If somebody is in that haystack somewhere & can see him, I would be happy to hear from you.
