Hi, My name is Peggy Meyermann, currently living in Indiana.

My great - great - grandfather was C. Heinrich (August) Meyermann, born 24.Oct.1828 in Langenholtensen, Germany. He married Eleonore Mae Beneke, born 4.Nov.1844 Saxony(?), Germany, in Iowa. They both immigrated to the United States in 1854; however, I believe they immigrated separately and met in Iowa, since they married in 1863. They had eight children and are buried in Clinton, Iowa.

I am very interested in information on both Meyermann and Beneke prior to their leaving Germany. They had to have left family behind in Germany. And perhaps more of their relatives immigrated to the United States.

If you are interested or able to help me with more information, I would greatly appreciate it.

Kind regards
Peggy Meyermann
