My family members as far as I know come from Lunebach Prussia. The oldest member was Nicolai Minikus.His wife was Margaret Lamberti. I am not sure where she came from. I have almost no records on these people. Their children all came to America about 1852. There were four brothers, Frank. Mathias,John and Peter. Also there were girls in the family. My relative was Frank and he was born about 1831.He married Martha Rarick and lived in New York. Peter was married in Prussia . The boys split up for different parts of the Usa. Frank went to Iowa,Peter went to Indiana, John went to chicago . Mathias stayed in New York . I am not aware of any family members coming from your area. But I have seen the name come up in other countries such as the Netherlands. I would be interested in hearing about your family. If we find they are connected I can give you more detail and dates.
