My g.g.grandmother, Justina Fahrig, married 1) Peter Hartmann
2) Conrad Kruse or Gruse

Justina & Peter Hartmann came to the US in 1852 and settled in Illinois

Conrad Kruse and his family were on the same ship.

Justina married Conrad around 1854 after Peter drowned. They had
more children.

It is believed that they lived in Niederorschel before settling in Alton, Illinois.

I am not sure if this is the same line of Kruse which eventually became Gruse.
