My father, Edward Tullio Roy, was purportedly born in Weiner Neustadt, Austria sometime around the period 1905-07. Hia mother's maiden name was Ohler, and his grandfather was French. The family moved to Trieste after the end of WWI; he was from a family of 9 children (2 males, 7 females). Ostensibly, he served as a cabinboy on merchant ships out of Trieste at the age of 12. He purportedly arrived in the U.S. in the early 1920's and was sponsored for U.S. citizenship by an uncle. He did not come through Ellis Island. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who might have information regarding him. His name appears in the 1930 US Census and was resident in Salinas, California, Monterey County, and again in the 1940 US Census in Livingston, California, Merced County.
