Thanks for the reply. I had found the Kosmos entry, but on the 1870 census it's recorded that James Wenser was the last born in Bohemia (1861) and John Jr. was born in the US (1863 Illinois). While these dates are iffy, this would indicate he was in the US and married (or re-married) by 1863 in order to have John (1863) and Fannie (1865 Indiana). I now believe they arrived somewhere between 1861-1863. ---If the Kosmos entry is to be believed, Fannie's birthdate is wrong, Wenser and Caroline were twins (Anna and Emma I think were), Anna/Emmas BD was wrong, and Joseph, Francis and Fannie are no where to be found on the ship. Very conflicting information. Of course I can find no information on them prior to sailing. Also odd they would travel to Le Havre to sail for America (although not unheard of, my Paternal ancestors traveled from extreme southeastern Germany to Le Havre). A real puzzler.
